Registry Committal (s 114 Justices Act 1886 (Qld))
* Can occur where written witness statements filed in Court and given to the defence.
* Can only occur if defendant not in custody or not in breach of a bail condition.
* The defendant must be legally represented and lodge a notice with particular information, including that the defendant does not intend to give or call evidence, that the Clerk will not decide whether the evidence is sufficient, whether the defendant wishes to be committed for trial or sentence and if for sentence the defendant must lodge a signed document acknowledging their plea of guilty.
